NEW YORK (April 25th, 2019) - WGI Worldwide Inc. today announced that Naveed Irshad, a resident of Toronto, has been elected to its Board of Directors. Irshad first joined WGI in 2015 as a Founding Member of its Singapore affiliate. After relocating to Toronto, he was appointed as a Global Advisor in 2017. His election to the Board is the culmination of four years of dedicated service to WGI.
Irshad is an insurance executive who has spent the duration of his career in that industry. He is currently Executive Vice President and Head of North American Legacy Business at Manulife, one of the world’s largest insurance companies. In this role, he has direct responsibility for Manulife’s closed legacy businesses in North America, including legacy annuity business, long-term care insurance and select long-duration, guaranteed insurance products. He is a member of Manulife’s Executive Leadership Team.

Irshad, now serving a two year term on the Board of Directors, was elected unanimously by the Board.
