2019 New Year's Message from WGI Chairman and CEO Chance Wilson

Dear Team,

2018 was an incredible year for WGI. We witnessed a pattern of sustained growth across our global network. We launched operations in Los Angeles, scaled our programs in the Asia Pacific, welcomed an array of new corporate partners, and ended the year by relocating our headquarters to New York City. These are just a few examples of the productive year WGI has seen in 2018.

As we head into 2019, we must harness this growing momentum to position WGI as the world leader in the fight against illiteracy. This requires us to put emphasis on KPIs to track growth, deepen engagement with local partners across our network, and study the application of technology against illiteracy.

Last New Year’s, I boldly predicted that 2018 would be our most successful year yet. I can confidently say this prediction was correct. Now, today, I predict that 2019 will be the year we take consequential steps towards finally ending illiteracy. I look forward to working with you all to see this prediction come true.

Chance Wilson
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
