Join the Wilson Global Initiative (WGI) as an intern and gain hands-on experience in one of the world’s leading education organizations. Founded by Chance Wilson, who transformed his personal story into a mission to make global literacy a reality, WGI is on a quest to teach one billion children to read and write. This is an opportunity to work alongside Chance Wilson himself, his leadership team, and WGI’s network of partner organizations. All the while you will develop real-world skills that will enhance your business career.
Internship Details:
• Duration: 12 weeks (with potential for extension)
• Location: Hybrid for NYC area students. Remote for all other students.
• Hours: Part-time (10 hours per week)
• Start Date: Flexible start dates, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis
Divisions:
Interns will be placed into one of five key divisions based on interest and skills:
1. Finance:
• Assist in budget planning, financial forecasting, and analysis.
• Gain exposure to financial management.
• Support in grant applications and funding proposals.
2. Marketing:
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns to spread WGI’s message.
• Work on strategies to enhance our digital presence.
• Help produce content for social media, newsletters, and blogs.
3. Digital:
• Support the development and launch of WGI’s digital platforms, including the Lyra app.
• Work alongside tech and design teams to improve user experience.
• Conduct market research on digital education trends.
4. Sales:
• Assist in developing strategies to expand WGI’s partnerships and global reach.
• Identify new revenue-generating opportunities and potential corporate sponsors.
• Prepare presentations and pitches for potential partners.
5. Communications:
• Help craft press releases, newsletters, and key messaging.
• Support internal and external communication strategies.
• Work on storytelling projects that share the impact of WGI’s work.

Requirements:
• Current university student pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, etc.
• Strong communication skills and work ethic.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• A desire to make a meaningful difference in global education.
