Hong Kong, our first international affiliate, is the Asian headquarters of WGI.
After establishing ourselves domestically, the decision was made to quickly expand internationally. Hong Kong was the focus for this expansion, and ultimately became our first international affiliate. Hong Kong remains our Asia Pacific headquarters.
WGI Hong Kong initially partnered with a local charity to teach English to refugees. WGI, together with this partner, organized English classes for refugees across Hong Kong. These classes were held in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Currently, WGI Hong Kong is running our Read and Rice program in the city. Together with our partners, HKFYG and Foodlink, we are helping children across Hong Kong build their ability to read and write.
WGI Hong Kong is chaired by Nicola Oldfield, and is led by the pictured board members.
